This publication ethics statement is based on the principles and guidelines established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies to all parties involved in the publication process, including editors, reviewers, and authors.

1. Responsibilities of Editors

Editors are responsible for:

  • Evaluating submitted manuscripts fairly and solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, relevance, and contribution to the journal’s scope.

  • Ensuring that manuscripts are assessed without discrimination based on gender, race, religion, nationality, or political beliefs.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of all information regarding submitted manuscripts.

  • Avoiding conflicts of interest in the editorial decision-making process.

  • Taking appropriate action in response to ethical concerns, including cases of plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, and duplicate publication.

2. Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers are expected to:

  • Provide objective, constructive, and timely evaluations of manuscripts.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of the manuscripts under review.

  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.

  • Disclose any potential conflicts of interest and decline to review if such conflicts exist.

  • Report any suspected ethical misconduct, including plagiarism or data manipulation, to the editor.

3. Responsibilities of Authors

Authors must:

  • Present their research findings honestly, accurately, and transparently without fabrication or manipulation of data.

  • Ensure that their work is original and has not been previously published or submitted elsewhere simultaneously.

  • Avoid plagiarism in any form and properly cite all sources used.

  • Acknowledge all contributors appropriately and ensure that only individuals who have made significant contributions are listed as authors.

  • Disclose all sources of research funding and any potential conflicts of interest.

  • Participate actively in the peer review process and provide corrections or clarifications when required.

4. Research Ethics

  • Research involving human participants or animals must obtain ethical approval from the appropriate institutional review board or ethics committee.

  • Informed consent must be obtained from research participants where applicable.

  • Authors should ensure that research data are properly stored and available for verification when necessary.

5. Plagiarism Screening

JSON implements similarity checks using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts found to contain unacceptable levels of similarity or evidence of plagiarism will be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

6. Corrections and Retractions

In cases where significant errors or ethical violations are identified after publication, the editorial team may:

  • Publish a correction (erratum or corrigendum),

  • Issue an editorial clarification, or

  • Retract the article in accordance with COPE guidelines.

7. Conflict of Interest

All parties involved in the publication process (editors, reviewers, and authors) must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the review, editorial decision, or publication of a manuscript.
